So this is what I know: the term anti-social does not mean you don’t like to socialize. It means you don’t care about the society in a way that could come off as horrible. Such as seeing someone dying right before you and you do nothing about it, or committing a crime, or driving recklessly without caring if you’ll hit a pedestrian, or just talk rudely to everyone and ruin their lives.

But I see a lot of people use anti-social to refer to avoiding the society, which originally has its own word, asocial. I don’t know if we can actually use it as a “coined” term for asocial. Teachers would say no but I think it is possible to be acceptable, just as it probably already is in teenager black holes like twitter or tumblr or FB right now, because modern language is up to cultural context and it doesn’t hurt to use this word, right?
